The Beginning

 || For Aster Brochan, every piece was falling together. A few years ago, he'd completed an eight year course in Astrophysics, with a minor in Quantum Mechanics. The few years that followed, he tried hunting down a job requiring his field, without much luck. Just a week, ago, one of his applications was accepted, and he would start next week. He was walking over to his parent's house to alert them to the good news, when he saw something strange off in the distance. He didn't have enough time to go and look, when he keeled over gripping his head in agonizing pain. 'Stop fighting.' A voice from within his head said. "I'm going crazy." he told himself, begging the pain to stop. "STOP FIGHTING." The voice said again, irritated. "NO!" "STOP FIGHTING BEFORE I DESTROY YOU INSTEAD" The force that resonated through his mind caused him to stop struggling for a brief second, before all went black. || Two Weeks later, he stood in front of his parents house, an anger welling up from inside him, but it was no longer Aster in control. No, Cassis had control, and he was pissed. Pissed that the host he'd landed himself with was a pathetic weakling, pissed that he couldn't get out of this form now that he was in it. And most of all, pissed that he had to act like this wimp. This anger had taken hold, and with every day seemed to only get worse and worse, until he'd finally had enough. He had to fight, to kill. His anger would allow him nothing less. So, he chose a source that had been a constant annoyance for him, Aster's parents. So he walked up the stairs to his parents house, opened the door, and walked in, before closing it behind him. He had none of his abilities, which made the whole situation harder, since he couldn't silence them, or even rip them a part limb by limb, organ by organ. Instead, he'd have to settle for a more mundane way of killing them. "Aster, is that you? How was work?" Cassis snarled, before walking towards the kitchen, using Aster's knowledge of the building. His fingers wrapped around a carving knife, before smiling in satisfaction. It wasn't a sword, or even a gun, but it would certainly do. Aster's parents didn't see Cassis coming behind the, expecting him to be waiting by the door. Figuring the father would be a bigger threat, he drove the knife into the man's back, aiming his knife for the heart. With a satisfying thumb, the man fell to the ground while the woman started to shriek. He smirked slightly, his eyes glinting, as he drove the knife into the woman's neck while she tried to back away from him. While he was relishing in the woman's death, a sudden force knocked him to the side, and the knife out of his hands. The man had gotten up and tackled him. He quickly pushed the man off of him, frowning, before running towards the door, and subsequently escape. With this weaklings body, he was no match against the man, even if he had a weapon. No, he'd just have to settle for the woman's death, if she was even dead. The only thing he knew was that he couldn't stay in this town. If he did, he wouldn't be able to fight off the police that'd come for him. So, with a trip to the bank, he took out all the money that Aster had made, before setting off down the road away from his home. Nevada was always nice. The arid state always served him well. || It was ten months later when he arrived at the town of Vyle. And as he stood in the city's park, looking around at the city, he smirked slightly before muttering to himself. "Yes. This place will do quite nicely."
